Please read carefully the following Terms of Service explained below upon which VerdRide offers you access and use of our Service. This includes important information about your legal rights, remedies, and responsibilities as well as certain exclusions and limitations. By accessing or using VerdRide RideShare ("the Service"), operated by NextEarth Technologies LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Our platform connects students and professionals for safe, affordable carpooling and shuttle services. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

NextEarth Technologies LLC (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our") operates VerdRide RideShare and provides an online technology under the brand "VerdRide" to fill empty seats on the road by connecting Drivers who have empty seats in their car and planning a trip, with Passengers who are planning the same trip and are looking for a transportation, which are made available through our website at www.unihbrideshare.com. You acknowledge and understand that by using our online Service to be legally bound by these Terms of Service whether you register to use the Service or not. If you do not agree with the Terms of Service then you have no right to continue using or accessing the Service and VerdRide content. If you fail to abide by the Terms of Service as hereby stated, you may be subject to civil and criminal penalties. The Service is offered as an online platform through which Drivers and Passengers may post and arrange Trips for Carpooling purposes directly with each other and in a strictly non-commercial or professional context. You acknowledge that VerdRide is in no way a party to any agreements entered into between Drivers and Passengers, and has no control over the conduct of Drivers, Passengers or Members of our Service. You understand that VerdRide is not an insurer, agent or broker, and you disclaim us of all liability in this regard to the maximum extent permitted by law.

User Accounts & Registration

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Verifying your student status or professional credentials when requested
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized account access

Third-Party Sign-In: VerdRide allows you to register and log in using your Google account. By using Google Sign-In, you also agree to Google's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We only access basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) from your Google account. We do not access your contacts, files, or any other Google data.

Carpooling Conduct & Safety

All users must:

  • Treat all riders and drivers with respect and courtesy
  • Comply with traffic laws and vehicle safety regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle
  • Communicate clearly about pickup times, locations, and routes
  • Cancel rides with reasonable notice (at least 2 hours when possible)
  • Not engage in unsafe or reckless driving
  • Not use intoxicating substances while driving
  • Share ride costs on a non-profit, cost-sharing basis only

Prohibited Conduct:

  • Commercial transportation activities are strictly prohibited
  • No harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior
  • No false or misleading information about vehicle condition or driver experience
  • No unauthorized collection of personal information
  • No spam or unsolicited contact outside the platform

Pricing & Payment

VerdRide RideShare operates on a cost-sharing basis. Users share expenses such as fuel and tolls on a non-profit basis. By using our platform, you agree:

  • All transactions are between riders and drivers directly
  • VerdRide does not process payments or guarantee rates
  • Prices must be communicated clearly before accepting a ride
  • Payment methods (cash, Venmo, etc.) should be agreed upon in advance
  • No commercial charges or excessive markups are permitted

User Reviews & Ratings

Our review system helps maintain community safety and accountability. You agree to:

  • Rate users fairly and honestly based on your experience
  • Not post false, defamatory, or retaliatory reviews
  • Report concerns directly to our support team rather than through the platform
  • Understand that extremely low or high ratings may trigger platform review

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. NextEarth Technologies LLC does not:

  • Guarantee the reliability, safety, or quality of rides
  • Verify the accuracy of driver or passenger information
  • Assume liability for accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • Guarantee driver background checks or vehicle inspections

Important: Users assume all risks associated with carpooling. Please review our Insurance & Legality page for important information about your coverage.

Driver's License & Insurance Requirements

Driver's License
  • Drivers must hold a valid, non-expired license matching the name on their VerdRide account
  • Learner's permits, provisional, or restricted licenses are not accepted
  • VerdRide may suspend any Driver account that does not meet these requirements
Insurance
  • Drivers must carry valid auto insurance and verify coverage before every trip
  • Both Drivers and Passengers should confirm with their insurer that they are covered while carpooling
  • Drivers using company-issued vehicles must verify their policy covers all passengers
  • Insurance companies may deny claims arising from commercial use of a personal vehicle — members accept full financial responsibility for any uncovered claims

VerdRide is not liable for any insurance disputes, uncovered claims, or damages. We reserve the right to suspend accounts and withhold payments if commercial activity is suspected.

Community Standards & Safety Policy

By using VerdRide Rideshare, you agree to follow our Community Standards, which help create a safe, respectful, and trusted environment for all members. Every user is expected to act responsibly, honestly, and respectfully while using the platform.:

  • Discrimination of any kind based on race, color, nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics is not tolerated
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward any member is strictly prohibited
  • Unwanted sexual behavior, comments, advances, explicit content, offensive jokes, inappropriate messages, or any sexually harassing conduct is strictly forbidden

Reporting & EnforcementIf you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, unsafe conduct, or policy violations, please report it to VerdRide Rideshare immediately. We will review reports promptly and take appropriate action while handling matters as privately and fairly as possible.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextEarth Technologies LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Injuries or property damage during rides
  • Disputes between riders and drivers
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Actions or inactions of other users

Termination & Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violations of these Terms of Service
  • Unsafe or illegal behavior
  • Repeated complaints from other users
  • Attempting commercial transportation activities
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

Suspended or terminated users will lose access to the platform immediately.

Compliance with Laws

All users must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding:

  • Vehicle operation and safety regulations
  • Insurance requirements
  • Transportation licensing (if required in your region)
  • Non-commercial, cost-sharing nature of carpooling

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
